Yesterday when we were crossing the St. Croix River, this turtle was right up there on the bridge. It’s an Eastern Spiny Softshell. A very strange looking turtle, especially when it runs. It looks kind of like a frisbee with legs. (Note: I said I wouldn’t guarantee there’d be no more turtle pictures).

And when we were about a mile or so from the cabin, two small bears crossed the road in front of us. We pulled over to see if they would come back out and sure enough, in less than a minute they did!

Love the pictures. That bear is cute, and as close as I want to get to one.
laughing at the inert dragonfly.
but those bears are awesome!!!
wow, that turtle is the 'Flounder' of the turtle species so flat!
Busted out laughing about the dragonfly :D
(Bears scare me to death)
Once again you found something I've never seen before! the turtle. I've never seen one like that. What else can you find that I've never seen? It's a challenge Cindy lol.
Love, love, love the bears!
That dragonfly....isn't that odd? I don't think I have ever seen a dead one just hanging around like that. You would think he would have fell off.
That is a very unusual dragonfly. I have never seen one with wings exactly like that.
I like the turtle pictures!
