Spent the day getting ready to head up to the cabin tomorrow. Stopped to get some beer and saw this at the checkout. Kentucky Derby in a bottle!

After visiting and having lunch with my brother and his wife we took the back road to the Dells. A true sign of spring is seeing the Ducks are up and running. Then we went for a walk and Molly stopped to wet her whistle. A beautiful spring day.

Hung around here today and made a quick trip to Walmart. They're adding a lot more groceries without changing the size of the store. Of course they didn't have what I needed.

Today was GORGEOUS! It actually felt weird to be outside and it didn't feel cold. I saw a flock of cedar waxwings eating the buds on one of our trees. Apparently they fly in, eat and then fly off to the next place with good eats. My daffodils finally bloomed! I usually pick them around Good Friday. Oh well, better late than never.

Today was my moms birthday. That picture down there is of her and my brother and Me about 60 years ago. Today was another nice day for a walk and to get a new toaster. My oldie, but goodie died on me last week and I had no idea it would be so hard to find a replacement with the same features. This one is close.

It was a very springy day today with lots of sunshine and temps in the 50's. We took another trip across the Wisconsin River on the Merrimac Ferry and then took a walk on one of our favorite dead end roads. We saw this tiny bird flitting around the water. It's called a Ruby-crowned Kinglet. Note: not my picture, I snagged it from my Audubon app.

Even though the weather picture shows rain, it was just cold and cloudy today. We went to our new favorite Vietnamese restaurant for lunch. I had a noodle salad and Jim had a big bowl of spicy hot soup.

It was a nice day here, but not in the northland. Tonight another big snow storm is expected. But come hell or high water, we're going to the cabin next week!

Didn't do much today. But I did go out to get a few groceries and we took a walk around the neighborhood.

It was a such nice day here and we did a variety of things. Went for a walk, stopped at the Amish store (but not the bakery) and at a couple county parks. While driving around we saw many Amish out working or on the roads in their buggies. It was really neat seeing the Amish men out working up the soil with their teams of work horses.

It was another ugly day at the end of a horrible week for all Americans.

It stopped raining and we were able to get out for a walk. Molly had what I'm hoping to be her last taste of snow for a very long time.

Another ugly day! Rained almost all day long and it was COLD! But on the bright side, it wasn't snow like our friends to the north are getting this week. (Snowman is made of fused glass. We stopped at the glass place so Jim could get glass for his next project.)

Took our walk out at Goose Lake today and there's still a little ice on the edge. Ran into another guy out walking his young Springer. Stopped to give Wilbur a treat on our way home. A really nice spring day.

The day started out really nice, so we decided to take a road trip. First stop was at a boat landing for Molly. Can you say high water? Oh yeah! As the day went on, the clouds moved in and the wind came up. For a change in routes we decided to take the Merrimac ferry across the Wisconsin River. Wow, was it ever rough out there! Shortly after we got home, it started raining. Oh well, at least it was nice for part of the day.

Just because it's almost mid-April, doesn't mean it's actually spring in Wisconsin. We didn't get snow here, but it's what's keeping us from going to the cabin. We did go visit with my brother today. Here's Jim with Molly's cousin Pepper on his lap.

Another cold and rainy "spring" day. Even though it was way too cold for worms to be out, it was encouraging seeing this big ol' night crawler.

Another ugly day, but at least it wasn't as bad as this picture from Lambeau Field today! But we made a trip to the Asian store and I got my hair cut.

It was a really yucky day. I was able to get out between the showers and get the ingredients to make Red Beans and Rice for our dinner tomorrow. Nummy!

While waiting for the sun to shine went to Beaver Dam shopping. On the way home the clouds cleared out and it turned into a very nice afternoon.

The top corner picture show a nice day in southern Wisconsin. The bottom right pictures shows why we didn't to the cabin this week. We're in that pretty purple area.

I've been somewhat obsessed with getting my New Orleans scrapbook done and today I put the finishing touches on it. Now to put away all my scrapbook crap and get back into making pincushions.
