I spoke too soon! Tuesday Jim had signs of a cold, Wednesday I had the same signs and now we're both miserable! No walking yesterday or today. Besides being so cold out there, it hurts too much to even think about going outside. Any suggestions on how to explain that to a dog? Rudy just doesn't get it!

- I'm the female version of "Jack of all trades, master of none". I make bottle cap pincushions as well as other items made with felt and sell them in my Etsy Store, Up The Creek. I make most of these pincushions while at our cabin in northwest Wisconsin. Our cabin is right "Up the Creek" from an active beaver pond. There's always something going on out there. Birds and other wildlife are abundant Up the Creek. I try to get good pictures of bird and wildlife and will post them, even if they're not award winners. My goal is to share what I see. Not to win any medals.

Awww I sure hope he doesn't come down with anything either. Take care of yourselves and hope this cold thing passes soon. Hope the weather gets better too. :-)
I try to walk every day, but living in the city I dont feel safe... In this frozen weather I have taken to walking the 17 floors and stairs.
Get some humidifiers going in the house. The air this year everywhere is historically the driest on record and that is causing lots of nose probs, chest probs and skin probs.
No walking here, either. WAY too cold; and my newest rescue, Happy, doesn't understand it, either. He cries at the door, I crack it open, he runs out and turns right around and runs back in. 5 minutes later, it's the same thing again --- all day long. The other day, he went out the back door, and SLID all the way to the steps and down them. Poor cat.
