I said the next blog would be about wildflowers, but that's been put on the back burner. I have a few more wildlife pictures to share.
We finally saw a doe with two fawns. We've been thinking that after such a harsh winter, most were lucky to have one baby. This family was just down the road from us.
Whenever possible we stop moving or move very slowly when we see wildlife along the edge of the road. It really worked out well this time. We stopped and they all started coming towards us! Thank you deer family.
Yesterday we took our trash to the transfer station and decided to take our morning walk on a different road. Last spring there was a big wild fire in this area, killing many trees, wildlife and burning lots of buildings too. Apparently it didn't hurt the blueberry crop at all! We couldn't believe how many big berries were along the edge of the road. I ate enough to know if I ate any more, I'd be very sorry! The wildlife also loves blueberries! Especially bears.
Speaking of bears...about four miles from our cabin we had this family cross in front of us. Are those little cubs cute or what?
That's all for now. Have a great weekend everyone!
