At least Jimmy the groundhog didn't see his shadow today. After seeing all the new snow out there, I'm not too optimistic about having an early spring this year.

- I'm the female version of "Jack of all trades, master of none". I make bottle cap pincushions as well as other items made with felt and sell them in my Etsy Store, Up The Creek. I make most of these pincushions while at our cabin in northwest Wisconsin. Our cabin is right "Up the Creek" from an active beaver pond. There's always something going on out there. Birds and other wildlife are abundant Up the Creek. I try to get good pictures of bird and wildlife and will post them, even if they're not award winners. My goal is to share what I see. Not to win any medals.

Yes, I read the news about an early Spring, but....sheesh, I don't know about that. It's 63 here right now and supposed to hit 70+, but tomorrow is back to the 30's.

I never get tired of that cartoon Cindy, it is so true this time of year. Like Sherry we didn't even get a January thaw either. I would smile just for a cold but sunny day. I sure miss the sun, Vit. D just does not make the grade like a shot of bright sunshine!
i made this with assorted glove and mittens in my front yard last year. I heard some laughing and the postman was sending pics to friends with his phone.Had a few cars stop to catch the action.This year I did legs stickng out of a drift.
