Snow

Well we've got snow and most likely it's going to be here for awhile. The temps this week aren't supposed to get above freezing.  More snow is predicted for Thursday and again on the weekend.  Ah yes, this is Wisconsin and it's almost winter, so WYSIWYG!

I'm still trying to decide if I'm going to do any Christmas baking this year.  I always enjoyed making plates of cookies for my elderly relatives and taking a day to go visit them.  But now they're all gone.  I know I can still make them, but I really don't want to have cookies around here.  Mainly, because I LOVE cookies.  There's nothing I like more than rich, buttery, chocolaty, nutty, spicy, chewy, crunchy, gooey...well, you get the picture.  I have no will power when it comes to Christmas cookies.  Maybe I'll make a few pans of bars to divvy up amongst the neighbors.  I like bars too, but not as much as cookies.  Yum!

We do not have the snow but singel digits have been common lately. I like the cartoon ;-)
Maybe treat the nursing home or senior center or even the children's ward at the hospital with cookies. They always love that.

No snow but colder than it was last year this time, I think. No snow. I haven't started baking yet.

Cold and snow here and I don't like it, but then you already knew that. lol
Go ahead and bake something, Christmas only comes once a year.

I love cookies too but around Christmas and Thanksgiving I find myself loving pie. Coconut, chocolate, chess...mmmm. I just love to bake.
Have you and Molly made a snowman yet?

Love the cartoon above your post, too funny.
I know what you mean about the cookies, i am not sure i am going to do any baking either, as much as i would love to take a day and do that, the end result is, we all eat it and none of us need that lol.

I don't usually bake as the kids bring all the stuff when they come, though Jack and I have thought of making some cookies to take to the girls Darla works with. Cartoon is hilarious.

Skiddin' in on a heel and a prayer to catch up here, Cindy. Omg, that cartoon is SO funny! Took me a minute to gain some composure to type, lol.
Cookies? Did you say cookies? There's a commercial running here that ends saying, "You can never have too many cookies". True, true, TRUE! But then the problems start, just like you said. Cookies around? Cookies will be gone in a blink! Tell you what, I'll be your best friend and not let you get fat; you make the cookies and I'll eat them. Problem solved ;) But just so you won't feel left out, I'll pass this nice little bottle of wine over your way, lol XOXOXO

"just in case" you didn't see what I left a heads up note about bidmacs, I'll paste it here for you, Cindy:
"Just a heads up here. You have to BUY the bid packages first in order to make "a" bid on an item. Each time you click "bid now" it subtracts one of the bids you paid for to use. Now, if you use up ALL that package, you have to figure that $ in with what you are paying for your win, and that would be your real cost. In my case, I lucked out and only clicked a few times and won, so the price I paid really was the price I got it for. I still have almost an entire package of bids left. Make sense? Read the "How it works" on the site VERY carefully before you commit to buying a package of bids."
Some of the packages of bids go for about $30 and all the way up to around $200 or $300 for 2000 bids to use. So you have to be careful. You could buy a pkg and then use them all up clicking on "bid now" and not win; then you'd be out the amt you paid for the pkg. Like I said, I really lucked out and won fast both times and only clicked a few times. I have bunches of bids left.

Glad you ck'd on it. I just put a note on my page for you, but here it is so you don't have to go back. This should clear it all up:
"Yes, Cindy. The pkg is bought for whatever amt (diff pkgs to choose from) and each bid within that pkg is actually costing 60 cents, so each click of "bid now" on an item is 60 cents. I clicked 8 times on one item, Lenovo IdeaPad, so that's 4.80, then won with a bid of $10.61, so I actually pd $15.41 for the item that retailed at $250. A GREAT win for me (and the first was even better but only by luck), but you can see how if a person goes wild on clicking, they could end up paying a bunch of money without even realizing it. I'm fortunate because the vast majority of my bid pkg is still intact. But that's just how my head works. I read and I weigh and then decide."

So you can see, I was the "lucky" case, not the norm, but you can bet I was dancing all over the room :D

I haven't baked Christmas cookies for years. When the kids all moved out and made their own it just wasn't the same anymore for me. Besides, my dil makes tons and brings some with them every year.
So, is it cold enough for ya. :)
