No sunshine but it did snow all day and all it did was make everything white again.

Another cold day so we but Molly's fleece on her before going for a walk around the neighborhood. Today was the first time I noticed how patriotic our 'hood is. At one point I could see flagpoles in three different lawns. Nice.

Cold, cold day! Even if there was school today, the playground would've been empty. Too cold for the little ones to be outside playing. The wind cut like a knife.

We went to Stoughton and stopped at a couple antique shops. We decided to try a new place for lunch, Springer's on the shore of Lake Kegonsa. We didn't know until we got inside that there were ice boat races taking place on the lake. It was a perfect day for it with plenty of wind, but warm temps.

A really nice January Friday. Went for a walk and stopped for a malted beverage . Got home and when I checked facebook I had a real blast from the past...my sister-in-law posted picture of my dad's old Mobil Station. Oh and amaryllis is still brightening my days.

Today was a typical January day. Cold and sunny but nice enough to go for a walk on the road that crosses over Rocky Run Creek. Today I have 2 1/2 amaryllis blooms. More to come in a few days. So bright and cheery.

My amaryllis is blooming! So nice to see bright colors on such a dark day. Did some shopping, got some half price craft supplies and some "health" food. :)

A nice day to go west of Madison. First stop was at the Shoe Box in Black Earth, but didn't buy anything. We did buy a nice assortment of meat at Straka's meat market in Plain. Next stop was in Baraboo for lunch at the Little Village Cafe...very good food. Followed by a visit with my brother. It was one of those days that we didn't really plan any of these stops, but the whole day worked out really well.

The temperature today made me think of spring. It was nice to see some snow melting, but you can see it's still clinging to this power pole. After a walk at Goose Lake, we had a great Mexican lunch then stopped at the Matt Kenseth Fan Headquarters. Very cool seeing real NASCAR trophies, cars and all the other stuff.
