Enough with the ugly days already, okay Mother Nature? It was cold, cloudy, rainy and snowy today. I wanted something hot for lunch so, I made some microwave scrambled eggs. My friend Elaine shared the instructions with me and I'll be making them again.

Seeing how it was raining we decided to go to Superior shopping today. Ran into a wall of fog and then more rain with wind and really cold air! Nothing like the balmy 55 degrees back at the cabin. Pumpkins and gourds sure look pretty on this dreary day. Even the geese were at the mall!

Didn't see much to take pictures of today, except for a very late blooming aster. Hard to believe it survived all the hard frosts we've already had this fall.

It took forever for the fog to clear today. Went to Oktoberfest at the local hardware store and stopped at a really neat store in Gordon.

Got caught in the rain again today which makes 3 times this week. But it finally cleared off late this afternoon and should be a nice weekend.

Went to Minong to do laundry and had breakfast at Wendy's on another dreary day in the Northland.

Today we found the squirrel that caused out transformer to blow a fuse and leave us without power for most of the afternoon. A dark day was brightened by a little chick-a-dee looking in the window at us.

After a little rain this morning, it turned into a nice day. Even though a squirrel shorted out our transformer and we were without power for most of the afternoon. Sure hope it was that pesky little red squirrel.

Went to Superior shopping and had lunch at Keyport, which doesn't look like much, but has GREAT food. It was a really nice day in the Northland. Oh and that's a wasp nest in the tree, which is much better than a wasp nest attached to your cabin.

A cool start this morning. Took a walk that ended at the St.Croix River. Checked on the tomatoes that are ripening inside and had a couple on my salad.

Today is 10-11-12! It was cool and windy most of the day, but the sun was shining and I got a dozen eggs layer by local chickens!

Stopped at a pumpkin/squash stand today. Love the way they trust everyone. Take what you want and leave the money in the dropbox. Saw at least 9 eagles today, making it a very nice day in the Northland.

Top pictures are from the same place, one day apart. The wind really took down the leaves today. The bridge down the road for us was finally opened today. It's been closed since August 20th.

Possibly the last nice day for awhile. Highs in the 40's for this weekend. I can tell you this noisy little red squirrel has been very busy hiding all kinds of nuts and seeds for the winter.

Today the leaves started to fall and one even landed right on Molly's back. Another nice day but change is on the way! Stay tuned. Oh and I'm sure you can see, I've been messing around with the layout here. Not sure about this one, but for now it's what I'm going to use until I find something I like better.
