Finally a gorgeous spring day, but there's still ice on some lakes. We saw this little fox run off as we drove by a road kill. Jim stopped so I could take a picture and it acted like it was posing for an 8x10. Also today, the crew arrived to plant trees in the field next to our cabin. Ten of them planted 3+ acres of trees in about a half hour.

Like the past few days it started out cold and cloudy. Around noon the clouds broke up and we saw the sun! It turned into a very nice afternoon and was warm enough to use the outdoor shower shelter. On our drive home from our walk in the bird sanctuary, we saw this big old porcupine. The pigeon is here all the time. It seems quite tame and coos when Jim walks past it.

Wow, it was an ugly morning, but at least the ice melted by 1:00 when it got up to 35 degrees.

Another very un-spring like day. It snowed all morning, then turned to drizzle and finally freezing rain. In the afternoon we went out for a drive around the 'hood, saw Dusty the Donkey (our name for it) and later that night had supper at our favorite watering hole.

We woke up to see a white lawn this morning. At least we didn't get as much as those to the south and east of us. They got enough to close their schools. The birds are toughing it out, we're keeping the feeders full and today I loaded up the wire basket with lots of nesting materials for any bird that wants it. I do this every year and it always disappears. Come on spring, please show us your pretty face.

After a couple calls to our ISP and finally having a technician come out and replace our modem, we're back online. This collage has pictures from both yesterday and today. Yesterday was gorgeous...warm, sunny, t-shirt type weather. Today was just the opposite and we could get more snow tonight! But it's great being back up here and seeing all the birds, ducks and other wildlife.
